We had a 40% return of evaluations from our paid attendees this year.  The evaluations we received are greatly appreciated as the the responses are used to help improve future conferences.

Selected comments on the sessions:

I really enjoyed Jim's keynote speech. He is a very good speaker and the information he presented I found very relevant to the topic of Leadership as it applies to the social service field and leadership in general. (Leading @ the Speed of Change)

John was one of my highlights of the conference this year. I have never before heard John speak. I believe his passion is real and deep. (What's Worth Working For)

Michael's presentation was engaging, logical, and highly relevant to those who strive for continuous improvement and leadership in our field. His delivery was matter-of-fact in style, with no pretentious "airs" . I thoroughly enjoyed the content and the style of both his presentations. (Leadership, Decisiveness and Principles)

The speaker was excellent is presentation, he gave me inspiration and made me realize how important my job is and how I make things matter in people's lives. (Success is Not a Spectator Sport)

Very moved my best session ever. (Building a Team to Build a Life)

Stephanie is an amazing strong woman. Her story how she addressed her classmates was very inspiring for one of my staff who has a daughter with a disability in grade 9 and is very angry about how she is received by her peers. This story will be shared with her. (You Can Be a Leaders If You Want to Be)

Very motivational, Campbellford-Brighton are true leaders. ("Taking the Lead" - Tried and Tested Strategies to Facilitate Leadership Within Your Community)

It made me really take a look at how I define inclusion and what kinds of things I do to promote it. (Focus on Inclusion)

This session by CL Mississauga was great -lots of applicable stories that really helped to bring meaning and practical ways to bring Social Capital into the lives of the people we support. (Building Social Capital)

Great - enjoyed it. Kept me entertained and interested. Also made you feel that people from all levels can make action happen. (You Can Make a Difference By Being Changed and Paving the Way, One Step at a Time)

I learned that what I have to say has value and could be very influential in what goes on in my organization as it deals with leadership.  (Having Courageous Conversations)

TOOLBOX SESSION

The Tool Box Session which was held in conjunction with the Wine & Cheese was a success again this year thanks to the twelve organizations that participated.  All these organizations deserve a big thanks for the time and effort they obviously put into creating their toolbox displays and their willingness to share their tools and information about the Personal Outcome Measures, leadership, and quality enhancement efforts.

Selected comments on the ToolBox Session:

It is always encouraging to see what others are doing at their agencies, the inclusion of people supported and just the friendliness and openness to learn and grow from others.

Very impressive displays and it was so nice to see how agencies are so excited about what they are doing for people we support.

Always good information and networking opportunities

I really enjoy seeing what other agencies are doing and the successes they are having. It is a great time for meeting people and reacquaint with others.
