Data Management ensures that information/data are not collected solely for the sake of collection and that organizational learning from the data results in quality enhancement efforts.

Data management systems serve as a vehicle for assuring that the people the organization supports lead more secure and richer lives. The Data Management workshop will address the basic elements of a quality management system including assuring the basics and measuring quality of life. As a workshop participant, you will learn to critically examine existing systems, practice using an existing data set and develop new data components. You will learn to use your findings to drive organizational change.

During this workshop participants will

• learn the basic elements of a quality management system,

• learn the basic components of a quality improvement system,

• learn to critically examine existing quality improvement systems,

• practice using and existing data set, learn to develop data points and develop measurement strategies for new components of a quality improvement system,

• identify variables and develop measurement strategies with relation to quality of life, and

• learn strategies and building blocks for change.

DURATION: 1.5 days
