TOPICS COVERED:

• Ensuring that people are treated fairly

• Liberty limiting principles

• Individual rights in Canada - what are they?

• Supporting people to exercise their rights

• Common rights concerns in service delivery

• Liability Issues for Organizations

• Using a rights committee to provide due process

• Actions and responses of the rights committee

FORMAT:

• One day duration, but can be adjusted to meet the needs of the organization

• Practice scenarios

• Maximum of 25 participants recommended
